Lay aside your fear, and trust it not. It does not serve you, for it tells you that you have no power. Fear is opaque. It obscures the future and seeks by all means to persuade that the only thing one can look forward to is the endless void.

Trust no fear, for it has pulled the curtain over your eyes.

Instead, trust hope. While fear would have you believe that there is no purpose for action, hope is the cause and the result of action. It is the determination to see beyond the veil. It is the action that forges a future. Therefore, act in hope, for action is hope, and hope is action. Though the road ahead be obscured by fear, hope is the sight of what may be. Though the path seem to crumble under your feet, hope is what builds the path anew. Fear may show you the void, but there can be no void where you dare to build.

To fear is to languish in inaction. To hope is to thrive on activity.

But what of loss? No loss need be permanent. Often we affix success to a specific outcome, but bright futures and good fortunes may be found through many means. If one victory is denied you, it does not mean that all other victories will be. Try something new. Attack danger from multiple angles, and it will succumb to your relentlessness.

Note that relentlessness is not recklessness. Be wise, but do not relent in your effort.

Relentlessness is not tirelessness. Rest, but return to your effort again thereafter.

Relentlessness is not fury. Be kind and easily entreated, but also honest about your beliefs.

So step ever forward and take what actions can be taken. Relent not while strength remains in your bones. Fight, win, lose, win again. Maybe you will pass through many losses, but you only truly lose if you give up. The only final loss is that of giving up hope, laying down your arms, and taking no more action.

It is for this reason that you should clean out that affront to nature that you’ve left in your fridge too long.
