Content Writing Services

The first great key to powerful content is this: Do people actually care about what you’re saying?

If they care, they’ll find value in your content. Whatever it is you’re offering, if you can meet their needs, they’ll find it worthwhile. If not, then as far as they’re concerned, you might as well not exist. Writing is all about your audience, and if you’re not reaching them–literally and figuratively–your content is worth nothing.

Standing Out in a Sea of “Meh”

In an online market that’s drowning in mediocre content, the best way to stand out is with high caliber writing. That’s where I come in. Not only can I help you produce relevant content to boost your online presence, but the stuff I write has a strong, genuine voice. If you don’t believe me, take a gander through my blog.

As a freelance writer, I can help you survey what people are asking with respect to your niche. From there, we take a look at how your competitors have answered them and then do our best to outdo them. Yes, it sounds a bit like espionage, but that’s how it works. If your competitors are doing a better job of meeting your audience’s needs, then your competitors are more likely to get your audience’s business. Fortunately, it also works the other way around.

See a Need, Fill a Need

Once you see what your audience is searching for, it’s vital to provide it in a way that satisfies their needs. This is accomplished through the hallmarks of quality writing:

  • Thorough: Tell the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth.
  • Clear: Don’t mince words. Don’t bog down sentences with opaque prose. Speak plainly.
  • Succinct: Don’t fluff your content. Good writing is just as long as it needs to be.
  • Human: Writing is an art, and art requires soul.

This pretty much sums up my philosophy of writing, particularly the last bit. We humans are drawn to the beautiful and sublime. It resonates with that bit of ourselves that deals more with feelings than thoughts. Mediocre content is mediocre not because it has failed to meet some formula, but because it has become so preoccupied with formulas that it has lost its soul.

When you provide people with solid, soulful content, you meet a need that is sorely unmet in today’s market. That’s not to say all the other stuff–clarity, keywords, grammar, usefulness–isn’t important. It just means there’s something beyond formulaic composition that will make your content what it should be.

Industries

Naturally, this philosophy tends to cater better to some industries than to others, and as such, there will be industries I favor as well as a few that I will reject outright (so yes, I am rather choosy). The good news is if you have read this far without feeling like the scum of the earth, we’ll probably get along famously.

Industries I will almost certainly write for include the following:

  • Education (I studied it at length in school)
  • Law, including criminal law (fascinating stuff, that) and excluding medical law
  • Dentistry
  • Most medical topics
  • Mindfulness and meditation
  • Martial arts (including HEMA)
  • History
  • Home maintenance
  • HVAC
  • Language, writing, and grammar

This is not a comprehensive list, of course. If you have any questions about industries I serve (or anything at all, really), please contact me.
